Pre-filled syringes have evolved to displace conventional syringes and vials for new products in both the hospital and retail markets. They provide convenience and potential cost benefits in the former, and improved compliance in the latter.  Additionally in an increasingly competitive environment they can provide a distinguishing feature between similar or identical products. This is expected to become particularly important as major companies move into the development of biosimilar products. Newer materials and manufacturing technologies also continue to develop as do regulatory processes required to obtain approval for such products.

This meeting will provide attendees with an update on market trends, greater awareness of technology advances, and insights from case studies involving development of pre-filled syringes. Manufacturers will also be present to showcase some of their products. Additionally the conference will address advances in auto injectors, jet injectors, and microarray injection systems.
